Bensalem, PA – After a three-week hiatus, live racing returns to Bensalem on Monday with a bang. The twelve-race card features overflow fields and is anchored by a contentious renewal of the $75,000 PTHA President’s Sprint.

The 6 ½ furlong contest has drawn a field of thirteen sophomores including the popular stakes winner Kentucky Outlaw who will be trying to rebound after finishing seventh in the Haskell (GI). He has been tabbed at 9-2 on the morning line for trainer Felissa Dunn and will have Kendrick Carmouche in the irons.

Cherie DeVaux will send out Retribution as the 3-1 morning line favorite with leading rider Mychel Sanchez aboard. A three-year-old son of Vekoma, he has won two of his four starts including the Chick Lang Stakes at Pimlico in May. Other contenders include the stakes-placed Cool Intentions for Jorge Delgado and the Guadalupe Preciado-trained Fire Pit who was recently third against stakes company at Monmouth.

The PTHA President’s Cup is the eleventh race on the twelve-race card. Post time begins at 12:40 p.m. ET.
