Bensalem, PA – Pennsylvania-bred Winning Time, a stakes winning juvenile in 2022, returned to top form in Monday’s featured race, an allowance/optional claiming race at Parx Racing.

Making his second start off of a nine-month layoff, the four-year-old son of Winchill broke sharply under Paco Lopez and led through pressured early fractions of 22.1 and 45.4 before pulling away to prevail by 2 ½ lengths as the favorite over longshot All American Rod.

“We were so happy to get back to the winner’s circle with him. He's talented and loves his job but had some minor setbacks that just kept slowing his return down,” said trainer Kate DeMasi. “He still has some allowance conditions left that we can point to for now.”

The homebred for Pewter Stables has now won three of his seven starts.

On Wednesday, the well-bred Harp’s Hot Corner earned his second consecutive victory with a 6 ¾ length romp in a starter allowance race under leading rider Mychel Sanchez. A full brother to millionaire Smooth B along with stakes winners Fore Harp, Disco Ebo and five additional six-figure earners, the Pennsylvania-bred is by Weigelia out of the blue hen mare Katarica Disco. Bred by St. Omer’s Farm, the sophomore colt was claimed out of a maiden breaking performance in his last start by Jaime Ness.

It was the first of three winners on the card for the leading trainer who teamed up with Sanchez for a win with Sister Supreme and saddled Arrow Speed to victory with Paco Lopez aboard.

Also on the card, trainer Esteban Padilla, who recently took over training duties for his brother Ernesto Padilla Preciado, sent out three winners – Summary Judgement with Aarom Otero in the irons, Shetalkstomuch with Abner Adorno and Pachelbel with Jorge Vargas, Jr. aboard.
